About Me
Hello, I’m Caroline Bennett, a fine artist from Glasgow. I studied at Gray’s School of Art and then worked in art education.
Painting is my passion. I enjoy trying many materials—collage, inks, pastels, printmaking, oils and watercolours—to capture rural and urban scenes and floral studies. My work is colourful, textured and expressive. I hope you enjoy looking through my collections.
The Moorish Collection
Inspired by a recent visit to Spain
Beautiful mixed-media collage and painting on canvas, inspired by the rich architectural details of Southern Spain and Morocco. Colourful, expressive, and dreamlike, each piece evokes sunlit courtyards and intricate mosaics. Created to bring warmth, character, and a touch of exotic elegance to any room in your home. Professionally framed in waxed white wood. Dimensions width 26cm x 54cm.
Moorish Temple came from a trip to the Alhambra in Spain. I made it with layered collage, inks and paint to create rich jewel tones. Geometric motifs and arches appear from washes of ultramarine and pomegranate, with gold and warm ochre recalling sunlit courtyards and tiles. Textured paper and translucent inks add depth and a weathered, historic feel. The piece balances bold colour and delicate pattern to evoke Moorish rhythm and splendour with a modern, tactile touch.
